It’s happening, guys! It’s that time of the year when rumors start flying about the upcoming Call of Duty game. If the most recent of these is to be believed, the franchise is indeed heading back to WWII this year.

An anonymous Redditor going by the name rTwGNaywaoaLh posted a few artworks claiming them to be of Call of Duty 2017. Six pieces of such artwork were leaked. These feature soldiers in a WWII battlefield and contain the subtitle ‘WWII’ below. There are also snaps of steelbook cases having WWII images in this leak. Check them out below.

However, these are just rumors as of now and no solid proof for the legibility of the artwork is supplied yet. Some users even claimed that these are taken from the 1998 blockbuster, Saving Private Ryan. We suggest you take this with a grain of salt.

Every year, Activision teases the next Call of Duty some time around April-May window. The full reveal takes place at E3. So we’d suggest our readers to wait for an announcement. We’ll update as soon as we get an official word from Activision.

Would you play a WWII based Call of Duty or rather stick to Battlefield 1?
