While exploring the open world, the player comes across better ships and technologies which the player hasn’t acquired yet. There is a bug in a mission which has a technology that the player hasn’t learned yet so that will stop the player from moving on.

Temporary Bug Fix

Destroy this technology. This will allow you to discover new technology before the destroyed one.
