It’s only been two months since PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds was released. In such a short period of time, the game has become one of the most played and fastest selling open-world shooters of all time. Not only did the player count multiply substantially, the game hit 2 million copies sold and raised over $220,000 for charity.

The second monthly update for the game is coming soon and will come to the stable servers on May 25th, at 1 AM PST.

There is a slew of improvements and new content, which you can check out over here. Some of the main eye-catching things we saw on there is the VSS suppressed sniper rifle with an in-build 4X room which is a care package exclusive and uses the 9mm rounds often found next to pistols, uzi’s and UMPs.

You can now be a daredevil as well; the update will introduce a side less motorcycle and you’ll also be able to perform gnarly stunts in the game. PLAYERUNKNOWN posted on twitter:

As for the balancing sector, the AKM, SCAR, M16 and M416 now have less recoil and a new scope rendering method will be added which will improve the player’s accuracy. They posted on twitter a before and after comparison of the old scope rendering method compared to the new one.

While it may seem that the new VSS gun is a sniper rifle, it actually isn’t per say as it resembles more of an assault rifle when shooting. Play Battlegrounds posted the sound as well as the gun’s shooting video on twitter.

If you haven’t gone for Battlegrounds yet, it’s actually the best time to do so; though the game is in its infancy, it has made considerable progress with promised monthly updates. The game is ever expanding and there is only going up from here,

For more updates, stay tuned.
