Rocket League just doesn’t seem to slow down. The game has sold 7 million copies as of August, which is 2 million copies more than the 5 million it had sold in June. Truly remarkable.

The figure obviously includes numbers from all three major platforms, while developer Psyonix specified that the PS4 is the number 1 platform for Rocket League. Sales spiked following the announcement that the game had reached 20 million players.

If we’re talking gross profit, the game is an astounding success: having a humble initial budget of $2 million, it has now generated over $110 million in revenue from game and DLC sales.
