This year Sony has launched the PlayStation 4 Pro, PlayStation 4 Slim and PlayStation VR. Pretty much the significance was on hardware. The next year is going to be more about the software.

In 4Gamer year-end interview, PlayStation Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida said that fans can expect “amazing software” to arrive in 2017. This will directly take advantage of the PlayStation 4 Pro, PlayStation 4 Slim and PlayStation VR.

Bloodborne producer Teruyuki Toriyama also have something exciting to reveal. He confirmed that his team is working on “ambitious titles”. Additionally they are also focussing on new games ideas.

There are already some big games coming in 2017 like Persona 5, Horizon: Zero Dawn for PS4. And now the aforesaid comments are just increasing the anticipation.
