Steve Carell has been cast for the upcoming Minecraft movie being developed by Warner Bros. An official announcement is yet to be made, so the role he’ll play is a mystery at this point.

Another mystery is much of the movie itself; it’s slated for a May 2019 release so it’s still very early in production. The good news we do know is creator Mojang is heavily involved in development. It’s uplifting to see a big name like Steve Carell in a video game movie.
