The very well renowned pirate group, 3DM has said that it will not attempt to crack any single-player games for a year. It will assess the market then to check whether the sales of PC Games have been affected by this action.

Forum member, Bird Freak reports to torrentfreak, “We just had an internal meeting. Starting at the Chinese New Year, 3DM will not crack any single-player games”.

“We’ll take a look at the situation in a year’s time to see if genuine sales have grown.”

Last month, 3DM has said that the Denuvo copy protection on Just Cause 3 was too difficult to crack and also, with current advancements made by the companies, it is very likely there will be no cracked games in the market within a couple of years. While this news comes as a bad blow to people relying on torrents for their games, it also resembles a good sign for the overall gaming industry as the gaming market will remain stable should no company be able to crack any games.

“According to current trends in the development of encryption technology, in two years time I’m afraid there will be no free games to play in the world,” said Bird Sister in January.
