Destiny has been displaying as a Free product on many digital stores. This has caught some people by surprise as this is far from a free game. Well, developer Bungie has come out to clarify the situation on their website.

“While players may download the base game, they will only be granted access to the Trial Mode for free”, reads the statement. “If players wish to progress through the original adventure via digital download, they will be required to purchase Destiny – The Collection to gain access to this content.”

Destiny – The Collection will include the original game as well as all DLC released for $60. This product launches soon, on September 20, so Bungie is giving it some advertisement as well as encouraging players to play it by downloading a free Trial version of the game.
