How to Get The Ultima Blade

First, you need to complete quests of finding rare items for Cid. Normally, the player cant upgrade weapons until you have found Drain Lance in the story along with the upgrading mechanic. But Cid can upgrade your weapons in exchange for rare items. Here are the items you require and the upgrades Cid offers in exchange for them.

A Better Engine Blade:

• Rusty Bit – Found on the floor commonly with glowing blue icons

A Better Engine Blade II:

• Glass Gemstone – Found outside of the large house just before reaching Lighthouse. It is at the top of the well at Cape Caem.

A Better Engine Blade III:

• Sturdy Helixhorn – Go to the Old Lestallum and take on The Last Spiracorn Hunt. The, defeat the enemy with horns to get Stury Helixhorn.
