Halo Wars 2: Blitz Guide

The main objective here is to score more points than the opposition in 12 minutes. You need to hold certain control zones in the map to earn points. Control all zones for bonus points. The score limit is 200. Either reach 200 points or outscore your enemy in 12 minutes to win.

Every Blitz game starts with 50 energy which accumulates over time. You can also collect energy cells from supply drops which increase the energy of every player of that team. So it is important to learn the timings and locations of these supply drops in the map. Here is a rundown. 2 energy crates spawn on the map 10 seconds after the match begins. Another one spawns at the 50 second mark and consecutive supply drops happen every 2 minutes from then on. But, remember that failing to collect the existing energy crate wont spawn further crates.\

Now, for the cards.

  • Your hand consists of 4 blitz cards from a 12 card deck.
  • Each card has an energy cost which is deducted from your energy points.
  • You can also change a card from your hand to the one in your deck. This costs 5 energy points.
  • Make sure to summon your card at your home base and not directly on the battlefield to avoid getting deployment fatigue.

Each player has a population limit of 30 active units. Units in this game mode don’t gain veterancy but there are some cards with built-in veterancy and passive abilities.
