In a recent interview with GamingBolt, Ashes of the Singularity developer Brad Wardell said that the Nintendo Switch doesn’t need third party support.
The Nintendo Switch is one of the most successful consoles of all time already, and its popularity is increasing by the day. Zelda Breath of the Wild is also wildly successful, selling over 1.3 million copies in the US alone.
Wardell said “Nintendo doesn’t arguably need third party” in the interview, “You think about the Mario games, Zelda, I mean, there’s plenty there. I mean, if it was a $1000 game system, maybe I’d care. But as it stands now, there is plenty to play with on the Switch, that’s just fine”.
Though third party support means that the console will have a wider variety of games and companies involved with the product; there seems to be different opinions on the matter.
