Blizzard is trying to keep the Overwatch competitive metagame as fair as possible. The company’s principal designer Scott Mercer announced a “one-character limit” for Competitive Play but not Quick Play. This is a smart move, since fairness is most important in ranked matches, on Quick Play players just want to have fun.
Mercer also discussed that the team is working on how tied matches play out, since Blizzard doesn’t want players to “feel like they if they had a tie, all their time was wasted”.
In other Overwatch news, the brand new character that was previously teased by Blizzard was unveiled to be Ana Amari, a support sniper, like everyone had concluded.
