You are currently viewing Pokemon GO Guide: How to Level Up Fast as a Trainer

Initially Pokemon GO is all about finding and catching any new Pokemons you spot around you. But as you catch more of them, sometimes it may seem that only certain type of Pokemons are available. That is not the case indeed.

If you wonder why no High Level or Rare Pokemon are spawning near you, then take a look at your Trainer Level. The Trainer level decides the kind of Pokemon you will encounter around you. Each Trainer Level unlocks new kinds of Higher Level Pokemons for you to catch.

This guide will tell you how to Level Up fast as a Trainer.

How to Level Up Fast as a Trainer

Trainer XP helps you increase your Trainer Level. The higher you reach a Trainer Level, the Stronger and Rarer the Pokemon you will encounter. A number of methods are available your Trainer XP which includes Gym Battles, XP from Items and likewise. We’ll take a detailed look at each of them.

Gym Battles

This doesn’t mean you have to fight battles with a rival necessarily. Training at Friendly Gyms will also gain valuable XP. Obviously if you defeat your opponent you will gain more XP, so choose the Pokemon with the highest CP for best chance. What’s even better is if you win with a Pokemon having lower CP as compared to your opponent’s, then a greater amount of XP is rewarded but the battle will be tough no doubt.

XP from Items

Lucky Egg: Collect Lucky Egg which doubles all XP earned for 30 minutes after activation. Make sure you have Evolved your Pokemon and try to explore a large area before activating a Lucky Egg.
