There are many villagers in the game the player can meet and befriend. There is one such villager who is a dwarf.

To meet him, head over to the mines and take the first right. A block will be in the way. The only way to remove this obstruction is via a cherry bomb or a steel pickaxe or a higher grade tool.

Once it is removed, the path leads to the dwarf. For talking to him, the player needs to go to the mines and pick rocks or defeat enemies to pick up four Dwarvish Scrolls. Donate these to Gunther in the museum and then the player can understand the language of the dwarf.
