Even quartz and iridium can be smelted into bars. For smelting, the player needs to craft the furnace for his/her own farm. This costs 25 stones and 2o copper ores.

The player needs five ores and some coal in the inventory to craft a bar of that ore. Interact with the furnace while holding the ores and a bar will be smelted. Copper bars take half an hour, iron bars two hours, gold bars five hours, refined quartz one and a half hours and iridium bars eight hours. Hence, it is recommended to have multiple furnaces before starting the smelting process.
