Microsoft announced upcoming changes to its service agreement this Monday, and the biggest piece of news in the statement is that Xbox Live Gamertags can now expire.

Players must now sign-in to Xbox Live at least once every five years to keep their Xbox Live accounts intact. This is not asking a lot for anyone who is even remotely a gamer. This continues Microsoft’s effort to keep Xbox Live fresh and updated; earlier this year they released one million unused Xbox Live gamertags that were left up for grabs for any Gold subscribers.
