Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Rare Blades & Important Game Elements Explanation
First up, rare blades. They give you perks known as Blade Arts. You also can get various bonuses via the Field Skills and Battle Skills. You need to collect Core Crystals to obtain Rare Blades. There are different types of them – Common, Rare and Legendary. Get them and bond them with the character of your choice. After that, you get a random blade. Needless to say, there is a higher chance of getting rare blades if you use Rare Crystals. If you are lucky, you may get a rare blade out of a common crystal as well and the reverse applies true. You may get a common blade out of a rare crystal if you are unlucky. By progressing through the story, you can get Legendary Blades. You also get side quests with Legendary Blades as rewards.
So, how to obtain these core crystals? You get them as rewards by completing various activities. They also drop from enemies and spawn in chests. Blade Arts is an important game element. Pyra’s Blade Art, for instance, gives an accuracy boost and increases Driver Art’s power. You can equip your blades with Aux Cores for further boost.
