For a past couple of months there have been rumors about that Apple is working on an autonomous vehicle. And that is not alone, also there were rumors that it will also start something new ditching everything else. But surprisingly a letter has emerged online in which Apple has addressed NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) that it is going to work on an autonomous vehicle.

The letter was written by Apple’s Director of Product Integrity Steve Kenner in which following was written.

Apple uses machine learning to make its products and services smarter, more intuitive, and more personal. The company is investing heavily in the study of machine learning and automation, and is excited about the potential of automated systems in many areas, including transportation.
