Developer Rocksteady built a name for themselves off their take on Batman with their now classic Arkham games. However after the studio releases Batman: Arkham VR this October, the studio is moving on from the caped crusader.
Speaking with Eurogamer at the EGX event, Rocksteady producer Dax Ginn explained that when Batman: Arkham VR went gold, the studio started thinking about their next project. “There’s a feeling in the office like, it’s definitely time to do something else – we all accept that,” he said. He didn’t share what’s next for the now beloved studio, but he did say whatever they do next “will feel very different”.
They could do another comic book franchise justice, like Superman, for example. If anyone can make a good Superman game it’s probably them.
