Developer, DICE, has announced that a new Battlefield 4 DLC will be available this holiday season. Known as the Battlefield 4 Legacy Operations DLC, it will feature one of most popular maps from Battlefield 2.

After conducting a poll among fans, Dragon Valley was chosen to be featured in the new DLC.

DICE said in the official Battlelog blog, “Our goal for this map is to make a great, large vehicle map for Battlefield 4 but at the same time modernize the original where appropriate.

The map is large and detailed. The terrain verticality was modified to make the map look and feel more like an actual Chinese river valley. Features like “dynamic cloud layer” above the valley add up to the overall difficulty of the map.

This has the added bonus effect of allowing you to have intense aerial firefights above the cloud level, which looks really, really cool in Battlefield 4,” DICE added.

The features that were retained from the original map include a lot of destroyable and repairable bridges throughout the map.

Battlefield 4 Legacy Operations DLC will be released for free on Xbox One, PS4 and PC later this year. Unfortunately, it won’t see daylight on older gen consoles.
