Last week, EA Sports announced that a new UFC game is in development for new gen platforms. Ronda Rousey has been selected to be the global cover athlete for the game. With this, she becomes the first female athlete to be ever featured in an EA Sports title.
Ironically, Rousey lost her match against Holly Holm at UFC 193 hours after being announced as the UFC 2 cover athlete.
EA Sports UFC 2 will contain both online and offline features and an improved Knockout Physics System. It also promises innovations to character likeness and animation, new authentic gameplay features and more.
The original UFC game boasted incredibly good graphics and an okay gameplay. The sequel is targeted for a spring 2016 release on Xbox One and PS4.
