The new installment in the Doom franchise has many secrets, and we are still unlocking them. One of those secrets are the Secret Classic Doom levels hidden throughout the game. These classic levels will make a lot of old DOOM gamers happy, and will be a flashback for them. Let’s Get Started.
The Classic doom levels are there in each level and can be played by entering through a door. There is a hidden lever in each level pulling of which results in the opening of a door which leads to the Classic level. These levers aren’t highlighted therefore are hard to find. You will know the lever you pulled is the right one if there is a guitar riff when the lever is pulled.
Now, these levers do not come to you as you progress through the game, you have to search for them and in some cases you to progress and then back up a bit to find the lever. The doors are not in direct line of sight, some are hidden some are just in front of you. We’ll get to see that once we progress through the article.
The lever guide progresses as per level, sequentially.
THE UAC
We are greeted by the first lever nearly at the start of the level. Just follow the only path and you will find the lever behind some metal grilles , and you can pass through the opening.
And the level is-
RESOURCE OPERATIONS
This one will be a little bit difficult to get. You need to restore the power at the beginning of the level and then drop down through the vehicle hole, there will be construction platforms. Go to the top of the platform there you will find the lever and the door will open on the ground below it.
FOUNDRY
When you get to a bridge beside which there is a lava fall, but in the middle of the bridge is a raised platform . Just cross over the railing and get to the lever and pull it. You should see a door opening in a distance near the lava falls.
ARGENT FACILITY.
You will find the lever in nearly the starting of the game. The lever is hiding behind some barrels in the corner.
This the lever which is not in LOS of the door which it unlocks. So the location of the player is shown near the lever and the location of the door is where the mouse pointer is kept at.
ARGENT ENERGY TOWER.
To get to this lever you have to jump off to the top of the vehicles lift when you ride the hovering box vehicle up the tower after you activate it at the control panel , there is a platform in front of which there is the yellow colored lever which you have to pull.
The player at the lever, the mouse is pointing at where the hidden room is. The secret door is where the mouse pointer is.
KADINGIR SANCTUM
The lever is hidden in the dark side of the cave beside he dead Skyrimish guy (Dovahkiin).
The secret doorway can be found if yo back up a bit into the arena.
You can find it to the left of that door.
DESTROYED ARGENT FACILITY.
At the beginning of the level do not progress as per, leave the initial room you are in and do parkour to go up, then you will see the part in the picture.
The lever is behind the box and the door is on the platform just below it.
ADVANCED RESEARCH COMPLEX.
After finally defeating the giant robot, you’ll come to this part here where you can see the door clearly.
But, the Devs won’t make it that easy. They literally mess the location of the lever. I mean why ?? Why would someone place it there ?
You have to progress a bit in the level to get to this lever, parkour up to it next to the valve.
THE LAZARUS LAB.
After you have progressed in the game, you will find this disc shaped chamber in the map.
Eventually you will get to a circular room with a huge hole in the middle,and the lever is just beside the staircase from which you entered the room.
The door to the classic level, is then below you in the hole. Just jump down. In which you will see some lovely skeletons.
TITAN’S REALM
Go in the room after opening the door where you use the yellow skull key.
Doom marine is where the lever is, and the mouse is pointing where the door is.
The lever is here behind this wall of rocks. After getting to the lever go back into the poison room and the door is down the stairs.
THE NECROPOLIS
You are going to need a yellow skull key for this.
Here on the map, you are near the lever and the mouse is pointing where the door is.
The lever is in the corner.
Pulling the lever will also re-open the door you used to get into that arena.
So, now you go back into the arena to find the classic level doom door.
VEGA CENTRAL PROCESSING.
In this level you will get a blue key card. You will use this key card to open a room whrer the Elite Guard body is. In that room you will find the lever.
Then go to the place where you found the key card, you will then go into a darkish blue hallway where the classic doom level is there.
