Halo 5: Guardians hit the shelves last week. Over 21 million hours of gameplay has been recorded already. $400 million is the first week sales revenue and we are getting some cool new stuff from the developers in over a week.
According to the official Halo Waypoint blog, the Halo 5: Guardians new DLC marks the return of 8 vs. 8 Big Team Battles, adds handful of new maps in Arena matchmaking, tons of vehicles and brand-new REQs. Standoff, Burial Mounds and Longbow are some of the classic battlegrounds from which the maps are inspired.
343 teased a partially completed graphic for the upcoming REQs and vehicles which will be filled up over the next week. For now, the November REQ Sneak Peek reveals a Tracer Armor Set, a Green Machine, a Tundra Scorpion, and Flaming Horns. In addition to these, there are tons of more REQs coming which ensure plenty of content for the Halo players.
Besides these, Chris Kong and Scott Sims, the game’s lead designer and engineer also promise controller fixes and the game’s new aiming system. This means no more “slow turn” bug that some users have reported over the week. A small number of players have also complained that they find their new aiming system “a shade harder than it used to be” while others are quickly adapting to it.
The DLC becomes available in the week of November 16. Microsoft also introduces Xbox One backward compatibility this month. Halo OSDT, Halo Reach and Gears of War are some of the big titles that are in the list. So you can also spend some quality time reliving those classic Xbox 360 moments on your Xbox One soon. So get ready for some action-packed November.
