  1. You need to press the Home button and select Settings.
  2. Then scroll down to Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  3. Click on it.
  4. Now tap the email account.
  5. Scroll down to and at the bottom you will find Advanced. #Note: If you don’t find the Advanced option, you may need to delete the IMAP email account and then add it manually.
  6. Tap on Advanced.
  7. Then scroll down and tap the empty IMAP Path Prefix.
  8. Here you have enter INBOX in capitals
  9. Then click Accounts at the top left
  10. Tap on Done at the top right twice. This will close the settings.
  11. Now again press the Home button
  12. Navigate to Mail.
  13. Now try deleting mails.

This should fix the error.
