Beyond Good & Evil 2 has been long awaited by gamers since a teaser trailer was released in 2008, five years after the original game’s 2003 release. A few tidbits of information have been shared over the years to reassure fans the game is indeed coming, but nothing concrete. This new piece of artwork from Beyond Good & Evil and Rayman creator Michel Ancel continues this trend.
If the artwork has any meaning, the pig is obviously a young version of Pey’j from the first game. It could also be another pig unrelated to him from the same species, but what fun would that be? Also, the unknown male character suggests the game could be a prequel.
The interest in Beyond Good & Evil 2 is definitely re-sparked. Now let’s hope they release some gameplay footage before we lose interest again. The caption on the image reads “Somewhere in system 4 … Thanks Ubisoft for making this possible!”, which hints that it was hard to make the game but now thanks to Ubisoft it’s a reality.
