Nvidia has pulled off a sneaky move and launched an updated version of last year’s Titan. The Titan XP 2017 version had no leaks by the media and has recently been announced.
What’s under the hood
You can now purchase the Titan XP 2017 for a price of $1200 directly from Nvidia, this upgraded piece of hardware is home to the GP 102 die with 3,840 unlocked CUDA cores; with the previous Titan and the recently launched GTX 1080ti having 3,584 CUDA cores.
The graphics card now also reaches a memory speed of 11.4GHz which is a bump up from last years 10GHz and the core clock going from 1,531 to 1,582 Mhz. The VRAM amount is the same which is 12GB of GDDR5X memory with a 384-bus width with a maximum bandwidth of 547.7GB/sec, which is absolutely insane.
Since the GTX 1080Ti made the Titan XP 2016 underwhelming, Nvidia came up with this new beast. This graphics card can now be ordered online and will take 2 – 3 working days to deliver.
