The game is developed by Overkill Software and published by 505 Games. A sequel to 2011’s Payday: The Heist, this game released on 13 August 2013 for PC, PS4 and Xbox 360. Then an improved version of the Payday 2, subtitled Crimewave Edition, released in 2015 for PS4 and Xbox One. This year we have Payday 2 releasing for Nintendo Switch in the Fall of 2017.

Payday 2 is set two years after the events of the Payday: The Heist. The story is about a new gang coming to the Washington, D.C. area for another heisting spree. The gang has 17 members and the player takes control of all of the members. The player can perform heists solo or team up with up to three team-mates. These three can either be controlled by other players or AI. The player and the team perform heists like bank robberies, robberies of shops and armored cars. Heists can be also be producing and distributing narcotics. Unlike the previous game, Payday 2 lets you do more customization of the player and has better stealth mechanics.
