Those are three words we never thought we’d see together, but a Fruit Ninja Movie is officially underway since New Line Cinema has secured the rights to the popular mobile franchise from Halfbrick Studios.

As told by The Hollywood Reporter, producer Tripp Vinson (of Vinson Films) is handling the project which tells the story of a group of misfits who become Fruit Ninjas to save the world. Standard stuff. Vinson and New Line worked on a few films in the past, including the 2015 disaster film San Andreas.

Fruit Ninja developer Halfbrick Studios is also producing the film. It’s obviously far too early to talk air date or cast as of now.
