Skills
The first thing in Middle-Earth: Shadow of War tips and tricks list is skills. The tip is to acquire all the wraith skills. The Wraith Skills focus in Celebrimbor’s abilities. The abilities that include using wrath, elven daggers or the powers of the wraith world.
Environment
Now the second in Shadow of War tips is the environment. Yes, the environment and the things it possess can be very useful. You can weaponize most of the things you see around, even spider webs. So look around and observe what you have to weaponize.
Combos and special moves
You can cause more damage if your combo is high. But you can also make use of special moves, like executions and consumption. Also when you are using arrows, it is better to target the head. These will cause even more damage and won’t take a toll on the health.
Mini-map
The mini-maps have the all the things marked, collectibles, quests, intel, Mirian and more. With the help of minimap, you can turn Haedir towers as a fast travel point. This is possible as with the mini-maps, you can track back to and locate all the points of interest at the Haedir. Then it becomes a fast travel point.
Fast travel
Use fast travel instead of searching on the map for directions after you set for a quest. Fast travel directly from the place where you set an active quest.
Story is good, but the experience is even better
Shadow of War is a massive game with a great story. But you can enjoy even more when you explore the Shadow of War world and get to know random orcs. It will make you love the game even more.
Do not get killed
Well that sounds pretty obvious in any game but here it matters more. That’s because although Talion comes back to life, in Shadow of War, every time Talion dies, there will be some things happening which cannot be rolled back. The changes are permanent. Things like in case an orc kills you, the orc will be stronger and the ranks also increases. Shadow of Mordor’s internal clock pressed forward. Orcs learn new tricks and many more. So don’t get killed.
Stealth is good
Use attract ability and avoid getting killed by large number of enemies. Take down the outpost by tackling one enemy at a time. Here are few things to note. Suspicious enemies will have yellow arrows above their heads. The enemies who have knowledge of your exact location will have red icons. For these, you have to get away from the line of sight and you will be fine. Then there are some orcs with flashing icons over the heads who catch you and try to set the alarm on. Before they do so, kill them.
Orc
Don’t kill all Captain orcs as your crew at castles needs to be appointed at the end of each section of the game. So some back up orcs can be helpful when some orcs permanently die.
Revenge is a dish, best served cold
In the game you can get back to life and once that happens, you can find out the orc who killed you. Take down the orc and get awarded better gear.
Interrupt events
To take a look at the nemesis system, you can go ahead and interrupt orc events. These events can be located using the map and they are shown as red icons.
Beasts
Use the beasts Caragors, Graugs, and Drakes take down your enemies.
Gem runes
Collect more Gem runes. These gem runes are dropped by treasure orcs. These have white icons above their heads. There will be runes of different colors with different effects. Forge three runes of same type and get a better gem.
Daily challenges & Shadows of the Past challenges
Daily challenges are great and fun. You get gold coins, Mirian, gear, etc. There are also Shadows of the Past challenges which rewards you with permanent skill points. So take up these challenges and earn rewards.
