AMD’s Ryzen CPUs are launching this March and details on specs and prices have started leaking.
The prices of Ryzen CPUs were reportedly leaked in Europe recently. Not so long after, the prices for the US have also started surfacing the Internet. The most interesting of all the leaked details is, however, the pricing of AMD Ryzen 7 1700X.
If the report is to believed, AMD Ryzen 7 1700X will be available in the US for $389.99. It will go head to head with Intel‘s i7 6800K which is priced at $409.99.
Not only the pricing, but details on the specifications have also leaked and they look pretty impressive.
AMD Ryzen 7 1700X Specs
The specifications of the AMD Ryzen 7 1700X are as follows:
- Clock speed is slightly lower than 1800X, at 3.8GHz
- 8 cores
- 16 threads
- XFR technology
- Total cache size of 20MB
- Comparatively, it sits between i7-6800K and i7-6850K
As we can see, AMD’s answer to Intel’s i7 6800K clearly packs a punch with a lower price tag. New informations will keep coming up until the release. We’d better keep an eye at the GDC this year for further details from AMD.
