How to fix Superhot Errors: Crash, Lag, Stutter, Black Screen and more

#1 SUPERHOT System Crashes

  1. Try to resolve this issue by deleting the save file that might have got corrupted when the computer crash
    1. The file will be at AppData/LocalLow/SUPERHOT_Team/SUPERHOT it’s super.hot file
    2. Make sure hidden files are enabled in case you do not find the file in the specified location
    3. Now try to continue with the game

#2 SUPERHOT Can’t Change or Select Monitor

  1. Hold shift when you click START SUPERHOT
  2. The config window opens up
  3. Select your monitor there

#3 SUPERHOT Not Starting

  1. Try launching game from steam folder:
    • Steam\steamapps\common\SUPERHOT – and doubleclick on SH.exe
  2. If the game will launch,
    1. try to disable your antivirus or add superhot.exe to exceptions
    2. and then hit play button on Steam.
  3. If that doesn’t work, check if you have .Net 4 on your PC.

#4 SUPERHOT Performance Issues

  1. While launching SUPERHOT, you get a red window which gives you option to choose resolution and whether or not the the game to shown on fullscreen.
  2. Once you set that, next click on START SUPERHOT while pressing Shift
  3. That should help increase the FPS.
