The Witcher Series is one of the best things to ever come out of Poland; CD PROJEKT RED have finally revealed their fiscal year results for Q1 and the results are definitely in their favor. The company observed a 17 percent increase in total revenue which has now totaled to 99.3 million PLN.

It’s also quite amazing that the company’s gaming division grew by 10% even though there hasn’t been any new game launches since Witcher 3 back in 2015. The company made a nice profit at Q1, over 45 percent more from last year and netting in 45.3 million profit.

According to CD PROJEKT RED CFO Piotr Nielubowicz, the company had netted in more profit in Q1 2017 than it had in the same period in 2016. Even though the game has been on sale quite often and a general price drop all over, the company has still observed a nice increase in profits from last year.

The latest game released by the company is Gwent, which is based on the Witcher 3’s fan favorite card game which had us all hooked for countless hours. The difference between that and the now standalone version is that GWENT is much better supported, has an exclusive following and is now a very profitable card game.

If you haven’t checked out GWENT already, it’s currently in an open beta and has a slew of upcoming updates, these will include a ton of new features as well as a new single player campaigns which seem to be in the form of seasons and will be paid. There will also be more supported language and the Chinese version of the game is already in the works.

Witcher 3 is one of the best RPGs of all time encapsulating an amazingly done story and depicting the true character of an otherwise fictional bounty hunter.
